Dr. Duane Landry
Owner/Veterinarian
I grew up in Louisiana on a beef cattle and rice farm. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) prior to completing my doctorate of veterinary medicine degree at Louisiana State University in 1989. I practiced large and small animal medicine in both Louisiana and Virginia for approximately five years before concentrating exclusively on small animal medicine. My family and I have lived in the Shenandoah Valley area since 1994. In August of 1996, Animal Clinic of Verona opened for business and has been growing ever since. My wife, our eight children and I, currently live on a small farm where we care for several pets including a few chickens and some sheep.

Office Manager
I have 23 years experience with the Animal Clinic of Verona. I attended BRCC and Dominion College. I have a degree in Medical Assisting. I am the Office Manager here at the Animal Clinic of Verona. I have always loved animals. I started out in human medicine, but quickly realized it was not for me. The office I worked at was next door to Churchville Animal Clinic, I went in for an interview and Dr. Landry hired me and I have bee here ever since. I live in Verona with my husband Berry of 21 years. We have 2 children Alexis and Tyler. We have 1 dog Hayven who is 8 years old. Widget a cat who is 5 years old. We are lucky she lets us live in her house! In my spare time, which I have very little of, I like to spend time with my family, dig in the dirt planting flowers and read.
